JAPAN RELIEF EFFORT

NALFO LATINO GREEKS' RELIEF INITIATIVE FOR JAPAN
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
On March 11, 2011, an earthquake struck off the coast of Japan, churning up a devastating tsunami that swept over cities and farmland in the northern part of the country and set off warnings as far away the west coast of the United States and South
America. Recorded as 8.9 on the Richter scale, it was the most powerful quake ever to hit the country.
In response to this tragedy, Latino Greek Organizations of NALFO are collaborating together with Mercy Corps and their longstanding partner, Peace Winds, to aid families affected by the disaster. Your generous donation will be used to meet the immediate and long term needs of the people of Japan. While we represent different Latino Greek organizations, we share a common commitment to philanthropy and servicing as a catalyst for change and also find that now more than ever we should stand together to support those in need.
